Storytelling and AI - Not Your Usual Panel
Come join us for a thought-provoking event at The Shop (next to the Library in Park City). This is not your typical panel discussion—we're bringing together experts to explore the intersection of AI and independent storytelling in a way that will leave you informed and inspired. Learn to use AI tools for things you didn’t think you needed, like distribution, audience, producing, and fundraising. We’ll share ideas about the creative process of AI filmmaking, including AI for social good, and also real considerations in making the choice to use these tools or not. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to expand your knowledge and connect with like-minded individuals. See you there!

BREAKTHROUGH SERIES PRESENTS PITCHFEST 2021
NOVEMBER 13-14th , 2021 / ONLINE
A two-day event featuring panel discussions and a pitchfest; one day focused on narrative/fiction projects, one focused on documentaries
Breakthrough Pitchfest puts a new spin on Filmshop’s Breakthrough Series, our industry showcase of member work. Breakthrough Pitchfest provides a forum for filmmakers to pitch their work and engage in discussions centered around development and distribution.
This will be a virtual event, taking place on Zoom, with both a narrative/fiction and a documentary component:
Saturday afternoon (Nov. 13, 3-5pm ET/2-4pm CT/12-2pm PT) will focus on narrative/fiction projects
Sunday (Nov. 14, 3-5pm ET/2-4pm CT/12-2pm PT) will focus on documentaries
Programming each day kicks off with a conversation among our panelists/jurors about a topic pertinent to the independent filmmaking landscape, related to financing, development, and distribution. This is followed by a pitchfest in which 10 participants (chosen from among Filmshop's membership) pitch to and receive feedback from our panel.
