LABS

Filmshop Labs is our annual filmmaking conference designed by Filmshoppers for Filmshoppers—and for all independent filmmakers interested in improving their craft. Labs boasts a cross-section of hands-on workshops and master classes and brings together some of the brightest minds working in our industry. Learn more about Labs here.

THEMED SHOWCASE

One night, one theme, a multitude of perspectives. Filmshop members come together for this annual event to make films based on a theme. We encourage cross-disciplinary exchange, experimentation, and vigorous collaboration. The night is always memorable and showcases the remarkable variety of filmmaking in our community. BREAKTHROUGH SERIES

Our Breakthrough Series showcases some of the strongest work workshopped in Filmshop. The screening is curated by an outside body of filmmakers and critics, and we screen the selected films in an intimate setting with festival curators, distributors, and executive producers. Our goals are to facilitate distribution and to provide a forum for the filmmakers to explore the next stages of their career. Learn more about our Breakthrough Series here.
