Therese Shechter is a filmmaker, writer, and activist whose first documentary  I WAS A TEENAGE FEMINIST has screened from Brooklyn to Belgrade. She’s just completed HOW TO LOSE YOUR VIRGINITY, a documentary about the myth and meaning of virginity in American culture. She also blogs about virginity and female sexuality and curates the V-Card Diaries, a crowed-sourced collection of stories about ‘sexual debuts and deferrals,’ which will be the first interactive project in the Kinsey Institute’s Juried Art Show (May 2013). Shechter was a panelist at Harvard University’s Rethinking Virginity conference, done live readings of her work, has written for the Chicago Tribune, Women & Hollywood, Film Independent, and the Bitch Magazine blog.
