Sally O’Grady makes subjective, stylized non-fiction films, exhibiting at festivals in Europe, Australia and the United States. Her most recent short, User screened at the Anthology Film Archives, New Filmmakers Festival in April 2009 and at the 2009 Sydney Underground Film Festival. Her previous film The Art of Fighting won first place in the prestigious Australian National Student Film Festival. Sally has produced content for History Channel/Smithsonian and has worked as a Field/Associate Producer on documentaries for MSNBC, PBS, A&E and Discovery. She is in production on a poetic feature documentary about Bed Bugs and has another feature in development about youth; redemption, motherhood and a devastating hate crime that occurred in Queens in 1986. Sally has worked as a Librarian, a Camera Assistant, a Waitress, and as a Health Educator with people at risk of contracting HIV.
